FanIQ is a real-time sentiment and consensus platform for sports fans. Over time, FanIQ tracks each fan's consensus alignment, prediction accuracy, and behavioral tendencies, helping them understand how their instincts compare to the crowd.
The Pulse of the Fanbase.
FanIQ is a real-time sentiment and consensus platform built for sports fans.
Fans answer short, structured poll questions about the team's biggest storylines—from game outcomes and player performance to trades, coaching decisions, and season expectations. After responding, they immediately see how other fans answered the same question. It is a simple and engaging way to understand where the fanbase stands at any given moment.
As fans answer more polls, the platform begins to map how they think and behave. It measures patterns such as consensus alignment, contrarian tendencies, confidence levels, prediction accuracy, and reaction speed to major news and events. Over time, each fan develops a unique behavioral profile that shows how their instincts compare with those of the broader community.
As participation grows, collective intelligence begins to emerge. FanIQ reveals where consensus is forming, how opinions shift in response to games, injuries, trades, and breaking news, and which viewpoints ultimately prove correct. Fans can see whether they tend to move ahead of the crowd, follow emerging narratives, or consistently identify outcomes before the broader fanbase. This creates a deeper connection to the community while helping fans better understand their own decision-making and uncover insights that may provide an edge over mainstream sports coverage and betting markets.

FanIQ is an always-on sentiment and consensus platform for sports fans. Fans join a team community and answer quick polls on the team's biggest storylines, then instantly see how the rest of the fanbase responded. As fans participate, FanIQ tracks consensus alignment, prediction accuracy, and behavioral tendencies, helping them understand how their instincts compare to the crowd.
While individual polls capture snapshots of opinion, together they create a real-time view of fan sentiment, emerging narratives, and community behavior—transforming fan participation into a powerful sports intelligence network.

Sports fans are constantly sharing opinions, predictions, and reactions, but there is no reliable way to understand what a fanbase actually thinks. Sentiment is fragmented across social media, podcasts, forums, and betting markets, making it difficult to separate true consensus from noise.
FanIQ solves this by continuously collecting structured opinions from dedicated fans through simple micropolls. The result is a real-time view of fan sentiment, consensus, prediction accuracy, and behavioral trends—creating a unique intelligence layer that helps fans understand the community and identify emerging narratives before they become obvious to everyone else.
-
Sports fandom is one of the largest and most engaged forms of online participation, with millions of fans consuming team-focused content through podcasts, YouTube channels, newsletters, social media, and independent media every day. Yet no platform systematically measures fan sentiment, consensus, and how opinions evolve.
-
FanIQ's growth strategy is built around partnerships with team-focused podcasts, creators, newsletters, and independent sports media rather than expensive mass-market advertising. These communities already attract highly engaged fans who spend their time discussing games, debating roster moves, making predictions, and reacting to team news. By integrating FanIQ through sponsored polls, recurring sentiment segments, and community-driven prediction tracking, the platform can efficiently convert existing audiences into active participants. Over time, FanIQ aims to become the fan engagement and intelligence layer powering sports communities across creators, media companies, sportsbooks, and larger platforms such as Fanatics.
-
FanIQ's initial monetization strategy is built around sponsorships and branded fan communities. As fanbases grow, advertisers gain access to highly engaged, team-specific audiences that are difficult to reach elsewhere. Brands such as sports betting operators, ticketing companies, merchandise retailers, sports media companies, and local sponsors can sponsor individual team communities, daily polls, weekly fan sentiment reports, and other high-visibility placements throughout the platform. Unlike traditional advertising, these sponsorship opportunities are embedded directly into the fan experience, creating a more valuable and authentic connection between brands and passionate sports audiences.
Over time, FanIQ's most valuable asset becomes the structured dataset generated by millions of fan opinions. Every poll contributes to a real-time understanding of fan sentiment, confidence, priorities, behavioral tendencies, and how opinions evolve across teams and leagues. This data can be licensed through reports, dashboards, and APIs to sports media companies, professional teams, brands, agencies, sportsbooks, and research organizations seeking to better understand fan behavior. While the consumer product creates engagement and community, the long-term business is built around becoming the definitive source of fan intelligence across sports.
-
Every user joins a single team community and maintains a persistent identity over time. Combined with anti-bot protections and behavioral history, this creates a high-integrity dataset that reflects genuine fan sentiment rather than anonymous social media noise.
-
Launch with Knicks fans. Expand to every team. Power the fan intelligence layer for sports.
-
Sports betting normalized prediction. Podcasts and creator communities normalized fan participation. AI now makes it possible to structure and analyze fan opinion at scale.
Founder Bio
Jason Kirsch is the founder of FanIQ and has spent more than a decade building audience, engagement, and data-driven media products. His work has focused on understanding how people form opinions, make decisions, and interact with information—and how those behaviors can be transformed into meaningful insights.
Throughout his career, Jason has worked across financial media, research, and product strategy. At Seeking Alpha, he partnered with asset managers on sponsored content, investor surveys, and audience engagement initiatives designed to capture sentiment and behavioral data at scale. He later advised financial media businesses on audience intelligence, product development, and monetization strategies.
Through these experiences, Jason became interested in how continuous participation can create valuable intelligence about a community. He observed that the most useful insights often come not from one-time surveys, but from tracking how opinions and behavior evolve.
FanIQ applies this concept to sports fandom. The platform transforms fan opinions into real-time sentiment, consensus, prediction, and behavioral signals, helping fans understand where they stand relative to the broader community. FanIQ launches with New York Knicks fans and is designed to expand into a broader fan intelligence platform across teams, leagues, and sports.
The Investment
FanIQ is raising $1.2M in seed capital to fund 24 months of disciplined execution at an annual burn of approximately $550,000. This round is designed to harden the core FanIQ platform, build and scale the initial New York Knicks community, establish recurring participation and engagement, validate sponsorship and advertising demand, and develop the behavioral intelligence layer that powers the product.
FanIQ combines structured fan participation, real-time consensus, prediction tracking, and behavioral profiling into a single platform. The operating model is intentionally lean, relying on contracted engineering, creator and podcast partnerships, focused marketing spend, controlled infrastructure costs, and minimal overhead to maximize capital efficiency while building a scalable fan intelligence network.
Within this runway, we aim to build a highly engaged flagship Knicks community, demonstrate strong retention and recurring participation, establish meaningful sponsorship revenue, validate creator-led distribution channels, and refine the Fan IQ behavioral scoring system. Success within the Knicks community will provide the foundation for expansion into additional NBA teams and eventually other major sports leagues.
This seed round is structured to move the company from product build to monetization proof, establishing FanIQ as the leading platform for measuring fan sentiment, consensus, prediction accuracy, and behavior. The long-term vision is to create a scalable fan intelligence network that can power communities across the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, global football, and beyond, positioning the company for future strategic partnerships and institutional financing.
